H&M Just Announced Its Next Designer Collaboration
Past collaborations have consisted of brands like Moschino, Alexander Wang, Erdem, and Comme Des Garçons.
It was announced today that H&M’s latest collaboration will be with designer Giambattista Valli.
Known for his beautiful tulle haute couture dresses, this collection is bound to be out-of-this-world spectacular. “The idea is to bring the Valli DNA of extraordinary, of one-of-a-kind, of uniqueness, of couture,” said the Paris-based designer in an interview with Vogue.com.
The collection officially kicked off today on the red carpet at the amFAR Gala with Kendall Jenner, Chiara Ferragni, H.E.R., Ross Lynch, among others debuting the designs.
A limited-edition drop is expected to arrive at select stores on Saturday, followed by a full collection release in November.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s Creative Advisor, said to Vogue, “Giambattista is really a master when it comes to beauty and glamour and sophistication, we’re really happy to be working with him…”
This is also Valli’s first time crossing into menswear.
Giambattista Valli said, ““It was very fun to do men’s for the first time. You know, girls pick up things from men’s wardrobes. The Valli boys get prints, some shapes, some materials, and some embellishments from girls — they took it from her wardrobe.”
Prices for this new collection range from $17.99 to $649 USD.
