Disney collaborations with fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands have been popping up for as long as I can remember. As a fan of all things Disney, it’s so fun to be able to see the most magical place on Earth come to life in various products. It’s also super fun to see collaborations between brands that you would never expect to work together. Now, you can rock the iconic brand wherever you go with the various collaborations they have done. From high fashion designers to cool and casual brands, you can find Mickey and his friends in all different types of fashion and lifestyle.
In 2013, Givenchy teamed up with Disney to use Bambi as a motif across its fall 2013 collection. Whether it was a cozy sweatshirt or a cute tote bag, the image of Bambi became a staple in the fashion industry. Celebrities like Elle Fanning, Lily Collins, and Sophia Bush quickly flocked to this design and wore it on the street and even to some red carpet events. If you have the money to spend, you can actually still purchase some pieces from this collection, including the iconic Bambi printed t-shirt for $790.
You can bring the magic of Disney to your jewelry with Pandora. The jewelry brand has become a staple in most people’s collections, as they create cute rings, bracelets and necklaces that are perfect for everyday wear. Their collaboration with Disney brings charms that you can add to your bracelet. Whether you are looking for a cute critter like Stitch, a beautiful princess like Belle, or just a cute filler charm, the Disney x Pandora collection has a wide variety of charms available. This collection is still available today, and they are constantly adding new charms to the range.
Possibly the yummiest collaboration on this list, Disney and candy boutique Sugarfina released a collection to celebrate Mickey Mouse’s 90th birthday back in 2018. This collaboration was a must-try for any Disney lover with a sweet tooth. With chocolate bars decorated in Mickey-shaped sprinkles, marshmallows that looked like his gloves, and gummy bear-shaped Mickey’s, how could you resist? The collection also came in cool packaging that definitely serves as memorabilia for anyone lucky enough to get their hands on it. We can only hope that these two work together again to give us more of these yummy treats.
Disney x ALDO is the gift that keeps on giving. These two brands have partnered together numerous times, and it somehow keeps getting better each time! Another collection is on the way, with the second drop of Cinderella-inspired shoes and accessories coming soon.
For a brand that’s as sweet and girly as Kate Spade, it’s a no brainer that it would link up with the queen of Disney, Minnie Mouse herself. With accessories like purses, backpacks, and rings, this collaboration is the perfect addition to any outfit for the girly girl in your life. Plus, you can still shop out the adorable collection today.
Disney and UNIQLO partnered to create the “Magic For All” collection. The goal of this collab was to spread the dreams and delights of Disney all over the world through clothing. With cool graphic t-shirts for kids, women, and men, there’s something for the entire family. The collection includes characters like Mickey and his friends, Marvel superheroes, and Star Wars characters.
adidas has added a bit of Disney magic to its signature sneakers with this magical collaboration. Whether your little one is looking for a pair of shoes that have their favourite character on them, like Elsa or Buzz Lightyear, or you’re a Disney lover yourself, you will find a cool pair of kicks from this collaboration. The classic Stan Smith and Superstar models are reimagined with a little help from Mickey Mouse. There are also a couple of cool Star Wars-themed shirts and sweatshirts available. Dress up the whole family in this collection!
Beauty brand Bésame hopped on the Disney train when it released a Sleeping Beauty collab to celebrate the 60 year anniversary of the film’s release and the collection was simply incredible. Disney invited the founder of Bésame to Disney Studios to study the archives of the film in order to ensure that every product in the collection matched the original colours seen in the movie. Unfortunately, this collection is out of stock but hopefully these two companies team up again to celebrate another princess anniversary.
Disney made a return to the designer world with a collaboration with Gucci. Mickey Mouse was found all across the iconic Gucci print on sweatshirts, tops, bags and shoes to celebrate Chinese New Year. If this collection is within your price range, it is definitely something that you need to check out before it is sold out, because it is so totally adorable. One of my favourite pieces is the Marmont bag… a girl can dream, right?
Whether your little one wants to play with it, or you want to add it to a collectible collection, the Barbie x Star Wars Disney collab is one that you have to check out. This collaboration is one that is ongoing, as Barbie continues to release various characters for pre-order. While some of the characters are sold out, there are still tons of beloved characters (both new and old) that you can get your hands on now!
Edna, from Disney and Pixar’s The Incredibles, has become synonymous for her work with the world’s most powerful “Supers.” Now, for the first time ever, Edna’s signature flair for fashion has been channeled into a capsule collection of bold beauty. You can grab your very own collection (retails from $19 to $39) which includes a multi-tasking face and cheek palette, a soft-matte lip powder enriched with Ciaté’s exclusive Triple-R Complex© (which rejuvenates the lips), and a duo of ultra-creamy long-lasting gel liner pencils.
If you’re Disney’s number one fan, then check out the collaboration with Zara for a variety of graphic tees. So, whether you love Mickey, Goofy, Bambi, Dumbo, Simba, and even baby Yoda, you’re sure to find your fave new t-shirt.
Petunia Pickle Bottom has been around for over 20 years. Focusing on the evolving needs of parents, the brand aims to offer lovely pieces to assist them in their everyday lives. Versatile and oh-so-chic, this Belt Bag from Petunia Pickle Bottom makes for an excellent clutch as you care for your little one. Covered in a cheery Mickey Mouse print, this celebratory Disney bag includes multiple zippered pockets that are perfect when you’re on the go!

It looks like Etobicoke’s Cloverdale Mall is getting a totally new, cool look.
According to Urban Toronto, a major developer, QuadReal, has submitted zoning applications for the mall and the surrounding area. If approved, the empty space around the mall will be built up to be a series of multiple different condo buildings, ranging in size from low, mid, and high-rise.
The ground level of the complex will feature many storefronts and restaurants for both residents and passersby to enjoy. Additionally, there will also be plenty of parks and greenspace throughout the area, including rooftop greenery as QuadReal focussed on creating a sustainable community.
The ground level will also include a food market building and a community centre.
When finished, this area is going to turn into its own mini-neighbourhood.
With a glass-covered roof, you don’t have to worry about bad weather ruining your trip to the mall. The space also includes multiple levels of above and underground parking, along with bicycle and pedestrian paths. No matter how you choose to get to Cloverdale Mall, you will be able to get around the area.
This redevelopment is much needed for Cloverdale Mall in order to give it a modern look that will bring a new group of shoppers in.
Will you be checking out the new and improved Cloverdale Mall when it’s done?

One of the joys about summertime is that it’s actually pleasant to be outside, enjoying the weather with your significant other. Of course, a global pandemic makes dating a little more complicated, but that doesn’t mean that you need to be stuck hanging out on Zoom. There are plenty of safe and cheap date ideas that you can enjoy outdoors.
Grab your face mask and pencil in your date — we’ve got a list of ideas that you’ll love whether you’re just getting to know someone or are together longterm.
If you’re itching to take in all the beauty that Ontario has to offer this summer, why not head out for a hike? There are so many gorgeous trails to visit that are easy to access and pretty cheap, if not free, too. Pack some of your favourite snacks and make a day of it! For the smallest crowds, we suggest visiting the trails during the week. Just be sure to check the official trail websites for new rules and hours of operation — some trails now require you to reserve time ahead of your visit.
Although the Toronto Zoo is pretty cool, it’s also pretty expensive so if you’re looking to cut down on spending but still see some cute animals, head to the High Park Zoo. There might not be those wild African animals at the High Park but there are the beloved capybaras that escaped all those years ago, plus some adorable Highland cows!
If you aren’t comfortable with going to a restaurant or patio yet, you can still enjoy great food from your favourite restaurants at home. Grab your significant other and cook up a storm in your own kitchen. From restaurants like Eataly to more budget-friendly options like President’s Choice, there are choices for every price range and whatever you are craving.
With various drive-in movies located around the GTA, grab your pillows and snacks and go back in time with this cute, retro, and cheap summer date. Be sure to check out the drive-in’s official website to see what’s this week, our top drive-in picks include Stardust Drive-In and Ontario Place but you can find additional locales via DriveinTO.
For this idea, all you need is a partner, your phones, and a great pair of walking shoes. Toronto is full of interesting areas and attractions. From Grafitti Alley to Kensington Market and beyond, you can create a tour that’s full of the city’s most Instagrammable spots — planning together is half the excitement! Pack some snacks and stop by one of the city’s parks once you’re done. You’ll capture so many memories, it’s sure to be a picture-perfect date.
With the humidity in full force, there’s nothing better than cooling down in the lake. Luckily, there are plenty of beaches around Toronto — and most are completely free to visit, making it an ideal cheap summer date in Toronto! Like most attractions, we suggest visiting during the week to avoid peak crowds. Additionally, be sure to catch up on new protocols before your visit to avoid disappointment.
Whether you’ve been with your significant other for a long time or you’re just getting to know each other virtually, a game night is always great for a little competitive fun, laughs, and starting conversations. For a virtual date, we suggest using the app House Party, which is completely free! Or if you’d rather team up and compete with people from around the world, check out Sporcle — virtual trivia tickets are just $5 per device.
While it is known for the famous Christmas market, the Distillery District is still worth checking out in the summertime, especially for a cheap summer date in Toronto. It’s a prime spot for patios and there are tons of cute stores to check out, but if you’re looking to save money, we suggest grabbing a coffee and checking out The Word on the Street outdoor art exhibition by L.A.-based artist Scott Froschauer, which is up until October.
For nature lovers, Allan Gardens is the perfect place for a date. This hidden paradise in the middle of the city will make you feel like you ventured off somewhere tropical. With beautiful plants throughout the space, you can soak it all in with your loved one, as well as get a nice pic for your Insta feed. Just remember to bring a face mask!
Right now, local businesses need our support more than ever, so visiting a farmers’ market is a great way to support the little guys and squeeze in an awesome date. There’s a market open almost every day of the week, so you’ve got tons of different options.
