Forever 21 is officially making a return to Canada with physical stores.
This may come as quite a surprise since the brand shuttered all of its locations across the country after filing for bankruptcy in 2019.
YM Inc. acquired the majority of the Forever 21 locations in 2019 and opened stores like Urban Planet, Urban Behaviour, and Stitches in those vacant spaces.
A handful of these spots will be changed back to the yellow and black signage of Forever 21. As of right now, there’s no word on how many locations the fast-fashion retailer will open, although one is confirmed for Vancouver and one for Windsor, Ontario.
This re-launch comes at a time where trendy shops and affordable retailers are in increasingly high competition with one another.
Only time will tell whether this second launch into the Canadian market will be the best move.
