Gwyneth Paltrow’s uber-popular lifestyle website goop has just recently confirmed plans to expand their services internationally to Canada. This new expansion will be the first time Paltrow’s products will be able to be shipped to fans outside the United States.
The decision to enter the Canadian market stems from the success of goop’s special Canadian pop-up shops that appeared in Nordstrom shops across Canada. The Pop-Up allowed goop to personally interact with many of its readers and shoppers and learn first hand the possibilities of expanding into Canada.
According to the Internation Business Times, goop’s Canadian expansion will include goop branded skincare and clothing products and will feature goop’s favourite items from around the world. Curated specifically for Canadian shoppers. The highlight collection available to Canadian shoppers will be the goop x Christian Louboutin collection.
goop has drastically changed since 2008. Originally the goop launched as a newsletter that highlighted Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle product choices. Now it’s a multi-dimensional publishing and e-commerce platform that makes their own products and operates a stand-alone shop in Los Angeles.
