An interesting post has appeared on Reddit. Users on the Reddit Toronto page, are claiming that in Toronto, you can get more channels with an HDTV antenna than with a basic cable package. What makes this more interesting is that after buying an HDTV antenna for around $50.00 CAD your TV watching becomes free month to month.
Here is the post that started the conversation ( posted by Reddit User: cojofy)
When you read the Reddit comment section, some people agree with the findings, others don’t. We’d love to hear from our readers if anyone can confirm this.
Essentially, for basic cable, you will end up paying around $30.00 – $35.00 a month, and we all know (especially if you are a millennial) basic cable is barely worth having.
Is an HDTV Antenna better than basic cable?
