The famous New York-based burger chain Shake Shack has announced plans to open a flagship location in Toronto in 2024 – which will be its first Canadian location!
“We have been eyeing this incredible opportunity in Canada for quite some time and are elated to have found exceptional partners to serve Shack classics and bespoke Canada-exclusive items to our sophisticated neighbors to the north,” says Michael Kark, Chief Global Licensing Officer of Shake Shack.
Shake Shack is known for its menu items such as the ShackBurger, Chicken Shack, crinkle-cut fries, and more, which will soon be available for Canadians to get their hands on (without crossing the border).

It’s opening soon, oh wait, no it’s not. When Jollibee will actually be open in the GTA has been quite a little mystery. Ever since Jollibee announced it’s entrance into the Ontario market, people have been clamouring to find out when it actually opens. Jollibee is expected to be insanely popular due to Toronto’s massive Filipino community and Toronto’s voracious appetite for new food concepts.
According to sources, Jollibee is finally on track to open in 2018 and is set to open in Scarborough’s Kennedy Commons on March 25th.
While Jollibee has not 100% confirmed the March opening date, most assume that it’s very likely that Torontonians can finally taste the iconic Filipino fast-food chain.
If you’ve never heard of Jollibee, check out the weirdly fabulous dishes that are on offer.
Like we always say, nothing trumps free food and this time around, it’s free pizza.
For its 13th year in a row, Pizza Pizza will run their Slices for Devices program for Earth Month, a program that allows visitors to trade old electronic devices (think MP3 players, cellphones and handheld game consoles) for a slice of that ooey-gooey good stuff.
Partnered with Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) and Ontario Electronic Stewardship (OES), the program runs for the entire month of April. To date, the Pizza Pizza Earth Month initiative has helped divert over 17,000 electronic devices from landfills.
Now we know what you’re thinking: is it really a fair trade? Yes. 100%. You know why? Because despite what you think, you’re never going to use that 13-song MP3 player that has been sitting in your junk drawer for the past 6 years. Plus, the electronics donated will be recycled safely by EPRA and proceeds from the recycling will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network through Pizza Pizza’s Slices for Smiles Foundations, so you can feel good about eating free za and spring cleaning.
Donation makers will have the option of pepperoni and cheese slices, with a limit of four electronic devices per customer. Learn more about the program here.

Good news Filipino fast food lovers! Earlier this year, we announced that Jollibee would be opening their first Ontario location in Mississauga and it has since been discovered through job postings online that the popular eatery will be opening a second Ontario location in Scarborough.
The Mississauga location will open inside the soon-to-open Seafood City in Heartland Town Centre and the Scarborough location will open at 15 William Kitchen Road, in the former Mr. Greek location.
As of right now, there are no confirmed opening dates for either location, though Seafood City is expected to open shortly in spring 2017. Jollibee also has plans to open an Edmonton post.
We’ll keep you updated as opening dates are announced. In the meantime, take a look at the mouth-watering meals you can expect from Jollibee when they open below.
*Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article stated that Jollibee’s Mississauga location would be the first location in Canada. The article has been amended.

Yep, you read that right. Every. Single. McDonald’s. We’re crying. Well, 1100 out of 1400 restaurants in Canada but that’s good enough for us!
Tuesday, February 21st will go down in history as the day McDonald’s blessed Canadians with all-day breakfast. You get a hash brown, you get a hash brown, everybody gets a hash brown!
All-day breakfast means there’s no more fighting with significant others over who has to wake up early to grab the Egg McMuffins. It means that drunk you can treat yo’self to a McGriddle after a wild night at the bar. It means your dream of eating breakfast all day err’day has finally come true!
On behalf of Canada, we thank you, McDonald’s.
