Last night, some of Hollywood’s greatest in film and TV got all dressed up to attend the annual Golden Globes! And as entertaining as it is watching the recipients receive their awards, we can’t help but focus our attention and admire all of the looks that graced our screens! There were so many amazing ensembles that it was hard to narrow down our favourite top 10, yet somehow we managed.

Let’s take a moment to admire some of our favourite looks from last night’s Golden Globes!

Wednesday star Jenna Ortega wore a gorgeous dress by Gucci. The silhouette is stunning, draped perfectly on her – plus it’s nice to see her wearing some colour!

We will never get enough of Billy Porter’s red carpet-looks. Last night he wore a head-turning fuchsia-pink, velvet tuxedo dress by Christian Siriano.

Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain wore a sparkle-filled Oscar de la Renta gown almost reminiscent of a spider web, in the chicest way possible.

Rihanna

Rihanna looked absolutely stunning at the awards last night; we would expect nothing less. She wore a custom Schiaparelli gown which included a voluptuous velvet cape and gloves.

Tyler James Williams

The men were absolutely killing it last night, too! Tyler James Williams sported a stylized AMIRI suit featuring a tie-dye-esque print and a cropped blazer coat.

Anya Taylor Joy

Anya Taylor Joy has a knack for making absolutely everything she puts on look ethereal, and last night’s look was no exception. She wore a 2-piece yellow set by Dior and looked effortlessly elegant.

Nicole Byer

Sparkles and voluminous details seemed to be a recurring theme last night, and this Christian Siriano gown worn by Nicole Byer is serving both! The matches opera gloves were the perfect finishing touch.

Percy Hynes White

Percy Hynes White strayed away from the simple classic suit and wore a Saint Laurent suit with a little more interest! The suit featured a caped blazer and a semi-sheer knit underneath. The overall styling of this look made it stand apart from the rest for us!

Ana de Armas

This studded Louis Vuitton look worn by Ana de Armas is everything! Everything about this look is perfection in our opinion. From the dramatic square neckline to the stud panel details, to the pleats in the skirt portion of the dress *chefs kiss*.

Selena Gomez

Of course, we can’t leave out Selena Gomez’s look! She wore a deep purple Valentino Haute Couture design featuring a velvet gown and dramatic drop-puff sleeves which appeared to have their very own trains!

And let the 2017 award season begin! The 74th annual Golden Globes took place Sunday, January 8, hosted by none other than Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show. The event was a star-studded spectacle, to say the least, with film and Hollywood A-listers like Natalie Portman, Evan Rachel Wood, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling topping the list of award winners. As always, the red carpet took some major wins… and some major losses too! Fortunate for the offenders we have an entire year of upcoming award shows, ample time for us to forget and for other celebs to eff up harder. See the best and worst dressed from the Golden Globes 2017 below:

Chrissy Teigen

The model stunned in this Marchesa gown, tying together the look with a matching bold lip and slick top knot

Emily Ratajkowski

It’s a bit unclear why she’s at the ceremony, but at least she made the best-dressed list in this Reem Acra floor-length number. That is, until she flashed her knickers

Image via

Ryan Gosling

He truly was the man of the hour, raking in the awards for Lala Land, as well as winning with this red carpet look by Gucci.

Image via

Emma Stone

And of course Emma Stone, the woman of the hour, killed it on the red carpet too! This Valentino dress was made for a star.

Image via

Hailee Steinfeld

She may be young, but she’s always been a natural when it comes to style. Steinfeld looked lavish in this lavender gown by Vera Wang.

Image via

Lily Collins

Lily Collins take the red carpet crown in this gorgeous Zuhair Murad gown – its gone viral for a reason!

Image via

Maisie Williams

It’s hard to picture her out of her GOT garb, but Williams really hit the mark with this simple yellow dress.

Worst

Cuba Gooding Jr.

It’s called a tailor and you should probably get one. Tartan can be nice, but only when it fits…

Image via

Carrie Underwood

This Iris Serban gown is the epitome of ruffles gone rogue! We hope Carrie Underwood makes it out alive.

Image via

Felicity Jones

From the black lace to the bedazzled bow, this dress is just all kinds of wrong – definitely not pretty in pink.

Image via

Karrueche Tran

This hot pink, satin gown may have been a hit at junior prom circa 2000… too bad it’s the Golden Globes and 2017.

Image via

Keri Russell

The goal is to take inspiration from the cheetah, not look like your dress was shredded by one.

Image via

Lea Michelle

Well, we’ve certainly been blinded by this purple haze. Sequins is a bold move to begin with… purple sequins is the wrong move.

Who do you think was the best and worst dressed at the Golden Globes 2017?
