It’s official! The Hudson’s Bay Company has partnered up with the Toronto Raptors for a multi-year deal.

HBC is now going to be the Official Style Partner of the NBA team.

The partnership is said to be four years long, so we can expect a ton of co-branding during the basketball season as well as ‘take-over’ nights in which Hudson’s Bay will host the Raptors home games at the arena.

There will also be a major emphasis on supporting the Hudson’s Bay Charter for Change, an HBC Foundation initiative which works with partner organizations including MLSE Foundation

Now for the even more exciting part. There will be an exclusive product collab line that’ll offer collector-worthy pieces, in which net proceeds will go towards Hudson’s Bay Charter for Change. We can’t wait to see it!

This partnership will continue to create discovery and delight for all The Bay has to offer, especially for Raptors fans across the country. It’s a true super team.”

Even though we’re currently just at the beginning of being in the peak period that is COVID-19, it seems like folks are already looking through to the other side. Toronto Mayor John Tory revealed to CP24 that the Toronto Raptors might be opening their practice facility soon.

Tory revealed that he’s been in touch with Raptors team officials about the possibility of re-opening the practice facility.

“We are seeing if we can work something out, and we will try our best to do that, obviously, but there are many precautions that need to be taken into account and many details that have to be sorted out,” Tory said.

“We want to make sure that on the one hand and most importantly we keep everybody safe, including the players, coaches, staff and everybody else, but on the other hand that our team doesn’t fall into a situation where they are at a disadvantage,” he added.

While this is exciting news, keep in mind that no reopening dates have been set as of yet.

The decision on if the Raptors practice space will reopen is up to public health officials. In the U.S, ESPN reports that some practice facilitates have reopened but that’s only in states where restrictions have been loosened.
