5 Toronto Events Worth Getting Dressed Up For This Summer
Day to day, we put on our regular clothes and go about our normal lives, but sometimes you just get into the mood to spice things up.
We don’t always have fancy events to attend like holiday parties or weddings, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t make yourself opportunities to get dressed to the nines.
Whether you’re into themed events, or just want to dust off that suit or dress you have sitting in your closet, these summer events are worth getting dressed up!
Power Ball: 21 Club — June 6
For one night only, transport yourself into a speakeasy for Toronto’s hottest art party. This year, The Power Plant has partnered with Holt Renfrew for its annual Power Ball. Gussy up and enjoy an evening of gastronomy, live performances, unique art installations, cocktails, and more, all while rubbing elbows with the who’s who of Toronto. Tickets to the party are $175, which includes unlimited food and drink, and proceeds go towards the exhibitions and programming at The Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery.
Queen’s Plate Festival — June 28-29
This year marks the 160th annual Queen’s Plate, Toronto’s version of the Kentucky Derby. Hosted at Woodbine Racetrack, join Toronto’s best dressed for two days of thoroughbred racing, games, food, drinks, and live music. Tickets to the event start at $15, and $1 from each ticket sold goes directly to Rethink Breast Cancer, so you’ll be partying for a great cause.
Toronto Cocktail Party — June 30
Happening over the Canada Day long weekend is the inaugural Toronto Cocktail Party. Brought to you by the same people behind Toronto Cider Fest, this party will feature five different cocktail bars, a craft cider bar, music by Red Bull 3Style winner DJ D-Smooth, and plenty of eats from Los Vietnamita. Dress to impress and kick the summer off in style! Tickets are $50 and give you access to six hours of fun.
