If you’re anything like us you may have noticed how hard it’s been to get out of bed over the last few weeks. The weather is getting colder, we’re getting closer to our holidays and days off and there is a serious lack of sunlight.
The clocks go back on November 4th, 2018
Your alarm goes off at 6:30 am, you go and take a shower, check your clock at 7:00 am and it’s still pitch black out. Some days just getting out of bed is hard enough, match that with infinite darkness and you convince yourself that it’s okay that you haven’t seen the sunlight outside office hours for a couple of weeks now. Well, this will all be coming to an end this Sunday as clocks get ready to “fall back” and you can get an extra hour of sleep this Sunday morning. We’ve broken down some activities to do with that extra hour.
The Partier
Maybe your idea of a good time is getting completely F’ed up Saturday night, then you are in luck. Many bars will stay open an extra hour longer so you can get in a few more libations or have an extra hour dancing the night away. On the other side, you now get an extra hour to sleep in the next morning and work off that hangover.
The Health Nut
Maybe you use your Sundays to get your workout in (good for you… *eye roll*) You now have an extra hour to get your Moksha Yoga in, or maybe there is an early rise and shine pilates class, whatever your pleasure enjoy…
The Movie Lover
One of our favourite things to do is to snuggle up and watch movies early Sunday morning. Maybe somehow you missed binging on Stranger Things last weekend and now you can have an entire morning to catch up. If you’re normally an early riser, you can now get an extra hour in the morning to enjoy your favourite movies. There’s nothing like banging out an entire movie in the morning and realizing it’s only 10:00 am and you have the rest of the day to do whatever you want.
The Lover
Probably the best advice of them all is to just stay in bed and enjoy the loving embrace of your partner or to “focus” on yourself. With an extra hour in the morning, the two of you can wake up, get busy, go back to bed for an hour or so and still meet your friends with the new baby for brunch at 11:00 am.
However, you choose to enjoy the extra hour we hope you have an amazing day.
