Over the last few years, large-format retailers and high-end brands have been surprising customers with massive store openings that offer way more than just products. Today big retailers are doing their best to engage their visitors in a variety of experiences by bringing in new technologies, free services and more. And the new William Ashley flagship store is no exception.

Recently, the Toronto-based tableware company revealed its plans to open the new 15,000 square foot retail concept to celebrate the company’s 71st Anniversary. The grand opening ceremony will take place at 10 am on Friday, April 27th in the heart of Bloor Street.

The store, which currently carries more than 200 prestigious kitchenware brands, was created by DesignAgency and features two shining stories in the Colonnade heritage building. The new location will surprise its visitors with 23 foot high ceilings and dazzling architectural features.

What makes the store unique is that, according to the press-release, William Ashley’s customers “will be immersed in a unique environment with access to experts who are ready to transfer critical knowledge on the craftsmanship, heritage and stories behind the world’s most coveted luxury brands.”

William Ashley’s vision was to create an immersive customer experience where customization and curation go hand in hand with phenomenal service,” says Jackie Chiesa, president of the company. “It is a place where heritage brands meet cutting edge technology, and High Design meets functionality.”
