If you’ve always wanted to get a PRESTO card, but haven’t got around to it, this is your lucky day! Today, on October 17, you will be able to pick up a free PRESTO card thanks to the Scotiabank Arena.
To celebrate the start of the NBA season, Scotiabank will be offering thousands of free, pre-loaded PRESTO cards at select TTC and GO stations across the city.
“The start of the season is an exciting time for all of Toronto and we want to get fans to Scotiabank Arena and Maple Leaf Square to cheer for their Maple Leafs and Raptors,” reads the company’s website.
According to the website, Scotiabank will be giving away free cards starting at 4 p.m. and will continue until they run out. PRESTO cards available at GO stations will carry a pre-loaded amount of $8.00, while cards available at TTC stations will be pre-loaded with $6.00.
