The popular L’Oreal owned makeup brand, NYX Cosmetics, will be closing all of its store locations nationwide since opening in Canada in 2015.

NYX has become well known for its high-quality and very affordable cosmetics. With its extremely pigmented products, the brand is often sought after as dupes for high-end cosmetics.

It’s no wonder why make-up artists and celebrities are huge fans of this brand as well.

The brand opened its first Canadian brick and mortar back in 2015 in Square One in Mississauga. Next came three shops in Toronto, one in Ottawa, and another in Vancouver.

Earlier this year, NYX had already closed a couple of its Canadian stores.

However, as this new announcement emerges, a total of 10 remaining stores of the makeup brand have fallen victim to closing.

NYX is just one of the latest companies to close physical locations during this time. Some have even speculated that it’ll be quite difficult on the landlords to secure new tenants, not only given the economy, but the small size of the newly vacant spaces.

Fortunately, NYX Cosmetics will continue to utilize its online presence through its Canadian e-commerce platform and Amazon, as well as in-person at Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall, and London Drugs.

So, for those who enjoy this brand’s products, check them out online or at your local drugstore.
