Here in the city, moments of stillness are few and far between. Hence, our spas and wellness spaces tend to be in-demand, very necessary hot spots. Some sumptuous new spots to treat yourself opened up this past year, and with them, some innovative new services. Keep these on your radar as some holiday stress and winter blues might start to set in!

Here are 5 new spas that opened in Toronto this year!

This new boutique fitness club on Yonge Street really does have it all from hot yoga and HIIT workouts, to spinning, as well as a super-food café and bar, co-working spaces, and even a spa. Members can make use of RMT services, express facials by Consonant Skincare, an infrared sauna, and a Somadome, which is a high-tech meditation pod where you can zone out and get the benefits of built-in light therapy. You basically never have to leave – and why would you want to?

Earlier this year, Chanel opened its first-ever standalone beauty and fragrance boutique in Holt Renfrew at 50 Bloor Street that offers exclusive products that are unavailable anywhere else (think: a nail polish bar, a fragrance library, and an eyewear selection). One of the exclusive offerings in the 1,280-square foot boutique is a private treatment space that’s inspired by the ultra-luxe Chanel au Ritz Spa in Paris. So, after you try on samples virtually using the boutique’s iPads, you can indulge in a 75-90 minute facial in what might be the most exclusive spa suite in the country. Maybe not the all-encompassing relaxation experience you need to unwind from a tough week, but note-worthy no less.
