When it comes to beauty, the city is teeming with incredible brands and boutiques to shop. But one shop that stands out amongst the rest is Gee Beauty, a multigenerational family-owned business that has become a go-to for skincare and beauty enthusiasts across the city.

Located in the neighbourhood of Rosedale, Gee Beauty was founded by Miriam Gee, a professional makeup artist and beauty expert; and her three daughters, Natalie, Celene, and Stephanie.

Since opening in 2005 the store has amassed a loyal following that has allowed the brand to expand from a single beauty outpost to a Miami Beach location, lifestyle boutique 6 by Gee Beauty, an annual Muskoka pop-up, and a thriving online destination. Not to mention, an in-house makeup line that can be found in the bags of makeup professionals and cool girls everywhere.

Just recently, Gee Beauty underwent a stunning makeover.

While popped up in Muskoka, the women of Gee Beauty took the opportunity to show its flagship some love, making the store brighter and easier to browse.

World-class brands like Goop, Tata Harper, Sunday Riley, Joanna Vargas, and more line one wall of the store.

A new, sleek centre table features the latest and greatest Gee Beauty has to offer.

Across the way are Gee Beauty’s beauty stations.

Here visitors can have their makeup done, complimentary with a purchase of $150+ Gee Beauty Cosmetics; attend a masterclass, hosted throughout the year; or brush up on their makeup skill with the help of Gee’s experts.

Tucked away in the corner is a mini-studio, where shoppers are invited to selfie in mirror or lay out their favourite products for an Instagram moment.

Also new to the store are interactive iPads for shopping. Visitors can browse products online (first time online shoppers get 10% off their purchase and can pick up their goodies in-store that day) and book appointments on the spot.

This October, Gee’s annual Kisses For A Cause Initiative is back.

For the 7th time, the ladies at Gee Beauty have teamed up with Rethink Breast Cancer for five limited-edition pink products: a Super Sweet Gloss, Rose Gua Sha Scraping Massage Tool, Gee Thing Lipstick, Rose Jade Roller, and a Bois Vanille 6 By Gee Beauty candle.

50% of the sales from the Kisses For A Cause beauty collection will go straight to Rethink Breast Cancer.
