Canada’s retail scene just got a little bit smaller. Lululemon recently announced that it will be shuttering stores across Canada and the United States.

The store closures will affect the yogawear brand’s ivivva line. For those who don’t know, ivivva is Lululemon brand dedicated to girls aged six to 14. The stores carry athletic apparel for dance, yoga, ice skating, gymnastics, and more.

This isn’t the first time that ivivva has seen store closures.

In 2017, Lululemon made the decision to close 40 of its 55 ivivva locations. While most of the locations were in the United States, 11 locations in Canada were involved.

However, this time around, Lululemon won’t be leaving any ivivva stores behind.

According to Retail Insider, there are seven standalone locations left, and all seven of them will close by early 2020. ivivva shops in Lululemon shops, eight in total, will exit as well.

In Canada, we will be saying goodbye to three locations.

The locations we’ll be saying farewell to include Vaughan Mills near Toronto, West Edmonton Mall, and 2123 W. 4th Avenue in Vancouver.

While the closures are bound to upset some of the brands’ fans, Lululemon will be focusing its efforts in other areas. The company plans on doubling its menswear business, despite shuttering it’s men’s concept stores, and has already expanded into skin and body care.

We’re excited to see what else the brand has planned for the future.
