Gone are the days when exclusively stick-thin models were allowed to walk the runways and star in fashion campaigns. Today more and more major beauty and fashion brands are embracing the concept of body positivity and celebrating the diversity of women’s beauty around the world.
Following the recent trend, Revlon has introduced four diverse models to support the brand’s “Live Boldly” campaign: Adwoa Aboah, Imaan Hammam, Raquel Zimmerman and Ashley Graham. Alongside the iconic actress Gal Gadot, who became the face of Revlon’s campaign earlier this year, the ambassadors will demonstrate what it is to “Live Boldly”.
As an avid advocate and body activist, Ashley Graham has been chosen to lead the campaign. According to the brand, her optimism, compassion and strength, have helped change the industry’s perception of beauty and opened doors for more plus-size models worldwide.
“I am thrilled to be part of this timely and groundbreaking campaign with different types of women across races, ages and sizes, and to leverage this platform to continue to create positive change,” said Graham about her new role. “To ‘Live Boldly’ is the mantra of my life”.
Graham also shared that one of her daily rituals includes looking at herself in the mirror and saying: “I am bold, I am brilliant, I am beautiful.” The supermodel says that her goal is to inspire women to do the same. And looking at Graham’s recent success, we can easily believe that these affirmations work.
As for the other ambassadors, the brand states that Aboah, Hammam and Zimmermann are each inspiring in their own way and perfectly reflect the concept of the campaign.
