Vancouver-based brand Smash + Tess is known for its uber comfy rompers and loungewear but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s switching gears to give back to support local healthcare heroes.

The brand is working hard to create special scrub caps out of its soft romper material that take the pressure off healthcare workers’ ears caused by masks.

The brand is hard at work creating these scrub caps and plan to have over 500 to donate to Surrey Memorial Hospital and other in-need groups across BC.

In addition to this initiative, Smash + Tess is also offering 20% off to healthcare workers who are verified.

Want to do your part? When a customer checks out on the Smash + Tess website, there is the option to add $5 to the order.

For every $5 donation, Smash + Tess will match it and a scrub cap will be donated to a hospital worker.

This whole program was inspired by Jessica Lu who is a respiratory therapist in BC, so the scrub cap is aptly named The LuLove Cap. And while it’s not a surgical scrub cap, it’ll definitely help aid any discomfort that our frontline workers experience while staying protected themselves.

The LuLove Cap is available in a fun leopard print, sage green colour, and pretty pink.
