It’s been said that celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, Hailey Bieber, and Kim Kardashian turn to lymphatic drainage massages before events and big photoshoots, making their bodies look extra snatched. Tight Clinic offers a Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage that works to open lymph nodes and push water weight, toxins, and bloat out of the body, resulting in a contoured look! This service is especially great to have done a few days before a big event, like a wedding, if you want to look extra “tight.”

8 Celebrity Brands That Are Actually Good

Celebrities have been launching their own brands as far back as we can remember. Perfume, in particular, comes to mind when thinking of OG celeb lines (Paris Hilton’s numerous perfume launches in the early 2000s, for example). Since then, celebrity brands have become somewhat of a trend, with countless stars launching their own labels in every market imaginable.

With the sheer amount of celebrity brands hitting the shelves (some better than others), it can be hard to put trust in them. We’ve all seen, and maybe even fallen victim to, lackluster products from brands endorsed by celebrities, after all! That being said, some celebrity brands are doing it right and using their inevitable upper hand to put out good, even great, products.

These 8 celebrity brands are actually good!

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna

As Winnie Harlow stepped out onto the red carpet at the Fairmont Royal York in Toronto as the guest of honour for the 2023 Global Citizen Award Gala – hosted by the UNA-Canada, she turned heads with her beauty, grace, and confidence. She wore a stunning figure-hugging, floor-length, leopard-print gown to receive the prestigious award, which she was recognized as the recipient of for her outstanding contributions to building a better world through her unwavering dedication to diversity and empowerment.

“It means so much to me accepting [the award] where I’m from, being in Canada. Having my family and my peers here really means a lot to me in the sense that it all started here for me… The feelings of wanting to make a difference in inclusivity, in representation, all started from my experiences at home.” Winnie Harlow shares with StyleDemocracy.

She also expressed how important it is to her to be able to come back and know the changes she’s made and acknowledge the changes that she still wants to see. It’s no secret how cutthroat the fashion and beauty industry can be in terms of inclusivity. Although waves are being made, and we are seeing more diversity and inclusion, thanks to trailblazers like Winnie Harlow, it’s still crucial for brands to understand the importance of representation.

The supermodel has openly shared her struggles with the bullying she faced due to having the skin condition vitiligo growing up and the challenges of breaking into the industry.

She shared with us, “I didn’t get to see myself on anything represented. I didn’t see myself on covers, on billboards, as businesswomen…” and explains that her hope is that in everything she does, from covers, to runways, to campaigns, allows people to see themselves and know that they can do it as well.

A post shared by ♔Winnie Harlow♔ (@winnieharlow)

Harlow has definitely put her mark on the fashion and beauty industry over the years, beginning as a contestant on America’s Next Top Model to famously being the first model with vitiligo to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

She even founded her own beauty brand, Cay Skin, inspired by a terrible sun damage experience she faced while in the Bahamas. “This is my skin story. You have one, too. I started Cay Skin because compromising should have no part in our stories.” Winnie shares on the Cay Skin website. The brand provides daily suncare that protects, nourishes, and illuminates all skin tones, types, and conditions.

Winnie Harlow’s dedication to shattering industry norms and her commitment to representing the diversity of beauty has coined her a remarkable Global Citizen. It’s incredible to see someone from the GTA rise to fame and inspire so many.

The first Monday in May just passed, AKA the Met Gala. This year’s Met Gala theme was honouring the legacy of the late Fashion Designer and Creative Director, Karl Lagerfeld, with the title “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty”. The gala is hosted by Vogue, at none other than the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, as a fundraiser for the museum as well as to celebrate the opening of its annual fashion exhibition. Every year, A-listers walk the red carpet and up the Met steps dressed to the nines in accordance with the theme (albeit, sometimes very loosely).

Let’s take a look at some of the fashion that graced the Met Gala steps this year:

There are tons of celebrity fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands popping up on the market! In terms of celebrity fashion brands, some of them have major celeb presence, and some you may not even know are owned by celebrities as they remain to stay behind-the-scenes. But regardless, who better to shop from than the ones who seem to have it all?

Keep reading to check out some of the best celeb-owned fashion brands!

SKIMS

View this post on Instagram

If you know anything about SKIMS you know it was co-founded by Kim Kardashian, as she definitely doesn’t hide behind the scenes, like some other celebrity-owned fashion brands. She can constantly be spotted within SKIMS campaigns and all throughout its e-commerce website! Although the brand started out as shapewear, it also has underwear and loungewear, too. Don’t let the name shapewear fool you though! People seem to love styling its pieces as clothing, not just hidden underneath other garments. For example, its Sculpting Thong Bodysuit simply paired with some jeans!

Fabletics

Reese Witherspoon started the brand to honour her southern heritage and named it after her grandparents. We love a brand with a story! Its Deana Smocked Dress is the definition of Southern-Chic!

Good American, being a part of Khloe Kardashian’s success, gained major popularity for its amazing size-inclusive denim, carrying sizes 00-24 in jeans. It has since grown, carrying a wide selection of clothing and even shoes. Our favourite part about shopping the brand? The showcasing of three different-sized models on every piece, making it easier to envision what a specific piece might look like on your specific body type!

The Row

It seems as if every time you log into Instagram, another celebrity has announced that they’ve launched their own skincare brand. But truthfully it shouldn’t come as much as a surprise.

For years, actresses and singers have modeled in countless ad campaigns for beauty and skincare brands, think of them as the original influencers, if you will.

But simply being an ambassador for a brand isn’t enough for some stars, as they’ve since forrayed into the world of skincare all on their own and luckily, they aren’t just relying on their name on the label alone to help sell their products. Today’s stars are launching well-researched, thought-out, and science-backed products that are definitely living up to their hype.

Here are celebrity-owned skincare brands to try now, if you haven’t already.

Iconic celeb, Lizzo, just announced that she’s officially dropping a shapewear line, and we already have a feeling it’s going to go viral.

Last week, the rapper-singer-songwriter, posted on her Instagram account to let her followers (and the internet) know that she’s launching her own shapewear.

And of course, everyone went wild.

She wrote in the caption, “This is a dream 5 years in the making…. Introducing @YITTY: Shapewear you can wear Underwear, Overwear, Anywhere. For Every Damn Body. 6X to XS…”

A lot of people took to the comments to note that 6X was written before XS, which typically it’s the other way around. Naturally, the queen herself replied on Tiktok, stating that this is no coincidence, meaning that this line was created with inclusivity at the forefront.

In another post, Lizzo speaks, “This is *not* an invitation to change who you are… this is an opportunity to BE who you are on your terms. I don’t know about y’all— but I’m sick of people telling me how I’m supposed to look and feel about my body.”

It’s actually pretty cool to see a major name in pop culture making moves to create inclusive pieces in the fashion industry.
