Indigo is opening a brand new location in Toronto, and this time, there’s an innovative twist!

The company announced that it will be opening a new urban concept store at The Well in the King West neighbourhood in Toronto this fall!

The 16,000-square-foot store will be centred on an edited selection of Indigo’s books, with a new heightened focus on lifestyle products and in-store experiences. Such as a vinyl record shop featuring a jukebox and books, a gourmet coffee truck with pastries, snacks, beer, and wine, a plant shop, and more! It sounds like somewhere we want to be!

CTV News reports that Craig Loudon, Indigo’s chief financial officer, says the cybersecurity incident has resulted in disruptions to both internal operations and the company’s e-commerce and retail channels and that it is unclear whether customer data has been accessed.

Craig Louden also shared that the company’s main priorities are to protect customer data, limit the operational and financial effects of the incident and safely resume full operations as quickly as possible.

Indigo is working with third-party experts to investigate and resolve the situation.

Indigo has posted updates on Instagram, and the comment section seems concerned about their information being compromised overall. One comment states “Indigo – please advise your customers if our Accounts have been compromised. This is more important than when we can pick up an order!”

In Indigo’s latest Instagram update, the company encourages customers to take action to help keep their personal information safe

This includes not logging into any site that claims to be an Indigo or plum rewards site, reviewing and monitoring personal accounts for suspicious activity, and avoiding clicking links or downloading attachments from suspicious emails – while being cautious of communications that ask for your information.
