If you’ve ever wished that you could shop local and support your favourite Canadian brands, all under one roof, this is your chance! The bi-annual pop-up event, INLAND, is back for its 10th year, this time, at Toronto’s Eaton Centre

INLAND’s spring 2024 pop-up will take place at CF Toronto Eaton Centre from May 9th to 12th, on the mall’s third-floor luxury level, next to Sephora. Over 40 of Canada’s most celebrated fashion designers and creators will be available to shop!

Since launching in 2014, INLAND has showcased over 500 Canadian brands and makers from across the country, encouraging shoppers to explore and shop local talent.

The vendor line-up will showcase women’s and men’s apparel, swimwear, jewellery, footwear, bags, and more, showcasing some of Canada’s most visionary brands

“It’s a great time for fashion and retail because we are all in a “rethink” frame of mind, taking a closer look at what we buy and why we buy it. This is why I’m thrilled to be marking our 10th anniversary at CF Toronto Eaton Centre, bringing local design to one of Canada’s busiest shopping destinations. The intent is to disrupt what shoppers typically experience at the mall and hopefully encourage new thinking about both style and consumption,” says Sarah Power, founder and director, INLAND.

INLAND is also partnering with Fashion at The Creative School, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), allowing TMU students to showcase their collections alongside esteemed brands.

Free Label was founded in 2015 by Toronto-born Jessica Sternberg. The brand provides elevated basics made consciously in Canada in sizes 5X-XS, with a focus on versatile and weight-fluctuation-friendly pieces.

“Clothing is meant to fit bodies. Bodies aren’t meant to fit clothes. For years western beauty standards have
taught us to shrink in order to fit into clothing; the majority of sizes range from XS-L, models are all size 0,
and size charts are hard to come by. While most clothing brands aim to make aspirational clothing, Free
Label sets out to make well-fitting, comfortable clothing for REAL people. Our hope is that you can go to
our website or social media platforms and see someone that looks like you, wearing our clothes, and being
celebrated. No change necessary.” – Jess Sternberg, Founder, Free Label

LEZÉ the Label was started by two best friends, Karen and Tanya, who repurpose waste into a buttery soft fabric, designed for lounging on the couch or heading into the office.

“Online shopping is hard. Every body type is different and even harder for someone who occupies a larger
body when most brands only carry up to XL or are simply grading their sizes higher without considering the
specific needs of plus size bodies.” – Karen Lee, Co-Founder, LEZE the Label

Love shopping at M Boutique? Well, you’re in for a treat!

The Toronto-based womenswear shop just launched online shopping after having to close stores due to COVID-19. The website has now been up and running since April 11 and it’s full of M Boutique favourites.

Facebook/M Boutique

M Boutique is offering 20% off of your first purchase and free shipping on orders over $75.

There will be new collections dropping every week on the site so be sure to check it out and browse new trends. The quantities of sizes and styles are limited due to the current circumstances, so if something catches your eye, be sure to purchase it ASAP because restock is uncertain.

For Canadian online purchases, full refunds will be given within 14 days of the delivery date, rather than the previous store credit for in-store returns. So, if you aren’t positive about size or style, you can get your money back.

For those unaware, M Boutique is a Toronto-based brand with locations spanning across the Greater Toronto Area.

If you’re looking for a specific outfit for a party or event, you know you can always count on M Boutique to have the perfect outfit. Online you’ll find cute and cozy loungewear — think tie-dye sweat pants and comfy sweaters — as well as new must-haves for spring.

With businesses closing down and pivoting to online, this is a great opportunity to support a locally-owned shop.

Since UNIQLO opened its first store in Toronto three years ago, the retailer has become a go-to in the city for everyday basics and wardrobe staples. With its steady popularity, it’s no surprise that the Japanese retailer is opening another store in Toronto.

Earlier this year, UNIQLO expanded its CF Toronto Eaton Centre store with a third level dedicated to its graphic tee shirts, and later this month, Toronto will be getting another unique space.

A Toronto Financial District UNIQLO store is slated to open this October.

According to a press release, the new store will open on October 16, 2019 and will be popped up until October 2020. The store will be open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Different from the brand’s other stores, the Toronto Financial District UNIQLO, which will be located on the concourse of First Canadian Place, won’t feature the brand’s entire collection, but select items from UNIQLO’s LifeWear line. Each month will see a different rotation of goods for men and women.

This will be the first store of its kind in Canada.

And it’s sure to make the busy lives of the folks in the area that much simpler. The Toronto Financial District UNIQLO will feature key pieces from the LifeWear line which, according to the brand’s website, is “designed to make everyone’s life better.”

Calling all Spider-Man fans! If you’ve ever wanted to get your hands on your own authentic spidey suit, Doritos Canada is giving you a chance to live out your fantasy — but you’ll have to be extra bold.

On Friday, July 5, 2019, Doritos Canada will be popping up in Toronto with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

In honour of the new summer blockbuster, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Doritos Canada is giving fans the chance to win an official replica of the Peter Parker’s new “Black & Red” suit. And it isn’t your typical off-the-shelf costume.

The Incognito Doritos Suit is exactly what its name describes it to be: an undercover Doritos bag that transforms into a “Black & Red” suit replica, “so you can keep you identity safe and a secret,” Gil Wizen, an entomologist (aka spider expert) working with Doritos Canada tells us. “The costume is actually made and designed by the costume designer [Shafton Inc.] of Spider-Man: Far From Home.”

via GIPHY

There are only six Incognito Doritos Suits up for grabs in all of Canada.

So getting your hands on one won’t be easy. To earn yours, you’ll need to put your courage to the test in Doritos Canada‘s “A Suit For The Bold” challenge. Those brave enough will put their hand into a two-tiered box filled with wolf spiders and a tarantula under the watchful eye of Gil Wizen, who was previously ROM’s Chief Spider Wrangler. Once they’ve passed the creepy crawlies, they’ll push a button on and off in order to receive a contest ballot.

Doritos Canada

One winner will be given an official Incognito Doritos suit each hour from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019.

The pop-up is just down the street from Scotiabank Theatre, so you can easily stop by before or after you catch the movie. And those daring enough for the bold pursuit won’t walk away empty handed — each participant of the “A Suit For The Bold” challenge will get to take home a bag of Doritos, too!

We had the opportunity to preview the “A Suit For The Bold” challenge before it opens on Friday, July 5, 2019. Take a peek at our experience below.

What: Doritos Canada “A Suit For The Bold” Challenge
When: Friday, July 5, 2019 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: 229 Richmond St. West, Toronto, Ontario

If you aren’t able to make it to the “A Suit For The Bold” challenge, don’t fret!

Doritos is also hosting a Spider-Man: Far From Home “Activate Your Spidey-Senses” contest online so that you can join in on the fun from anywhere! All you have to do is head to doritoscontest.ca to enter, and don’t forget to play the Doritos “Spidey-Sense” challenge for your chance to win a European adventure for two.
