Let’s get real. The hardest part about working out is getting yourself to the gym. And moving into the fourth month of 2017, many of us have already let our fitness goals slip to the wayside. I’ll be the first to admit that the struggle to get motivated is very real. But one thing that always works for me (aside from #healthgoals, of course) is awesome new gear.
For years, New Balance has been a go-to for running shoes with their apparel collections playing second fiddle, but recently, they’ve upped their women’s apparel game, something they’re highlighting with Women’s Only Spaces in Sport Chek stores across Canada.
Featured in 18 locations nationwide, the New Balance Women’s Only spaces serve up some serious fitspiration. The collections are fresh, and while in the past New Balance has specifically catered to runners, their latest collections fit the lifestyles of all athletes – even fitness noobs like me.
Case in point: The high waisted Elixir Tight, which I had to grab when we dropped by Sport Chek Stouffville. With mesh paneled sides, these tights are stylish enough to wear out on the town, but they boast the NB Fresh and NB Dry technologies that wick sweat and resist odors. A seamless pocket upfront ensures no zippers jab you while you’re working the mat. Here, I pair it with the medium impact Pulse Bra – an outfit perfect for barre, yoga, hiking or cycling, and stylish to boot.
And because the tracksuit is making a major comeback, I had to try New Balance’s take on it. The Classic Pullover Hoodie and Sport Style Pant are anything but frumpy. Amazing fit, tapered legs and the soft poly-cotton blend will make you want to live in this outfit. Pair it with Fresh Foam sneakers (which are the closest you’ll ever get to walking on air), and you’ve got yourself a winning combo.
Take a closer look at some more of my favourite New Balance looks, picked with the help of New Balance ambassador Heather Gardner, and the New Balance Women’s Only Space at Sport Chek Stouffville below.
