The Last Remaining FCUK Store in Canada: Where did They All Go?

FCUK continues to own an operate successful stores globally but have decided to scale back operation in Canada and remain with only one brick-and-mortar location.

And then there was one!

Remember back in the day when French Connection FCUK shirts were literally everywhere?

The FCUK campaign featured tees and zip-ups that read “Cool as FCUK,” “FCUK Fashion,” “Hot as FCUK,” or simply “FCUK” – and everyone had one. The French Connection store was also a quick go-to for Canadians for everything from office attire to weekend wear, a reliable spot where you could find anything from a moderately priced cocktail dress to comfy sweatshirts.

Somewhere along the way, however, the brand – once a shopping mall staple – seems to have disappeared, having quietly closed a bunch of Canadian stores in recent years. The first store to go was the once-bustling Bloor Street location in 2013, followed by the Eaton Centre in 2014. Then came the disappearance of the Yorkdale Mall location and Queen Street. On the west coast, Vancouver’s only French Connection store closed its doors in 2016.

The company which originated in 1972 and is headquartered in London, continues to own an operate successful stores globally but have decided to scale back operation in Canada and remain with only one brick-and-mortar location.  After shutting down their Sherway Gardens locations, there are now no FCUK stores in Ontario and only one left in all of Canada.

Located in Montreal, French Connection’s last remaining Canadian store can be found at 1182 Saint Catherines Street West. We always had a soft spot for the brand and if you’re anything like us you may be happy to hear that you can still purchase FCUK product through their robust e-commerce platform.  https://canada.frenchconnection.com.
