As Canadians, Tim Hortons is a part of our everyday routine. Perhaps a double-double, a bagel, or the newly released Beyond Meat breakfast sandwich is your go-to right now, but at the end of the month, your favourite Tim Hortons treat might change. And that’s because the iconic Canadian fast food chain is launching a brand new, never-before-seen concept at the end of the month.
Tim Hortons will launch its first-ever upscale café in Toronto on July 25, 2019.
Dubbed an innovation café, it will be located at the base of the historic Exchange Tower in the heart of downtown Toronto, which also happens to be underneath Tim Horton’s headquarters. And that isn’t just a coincidence. “This is so close to our headquarters. We will get feedback from customers instantly,” Tim Hortons chief marketing officer Axel Schwan told The Star, making the new location “part high-end showcase, part research-and-development.”
Shoppers can expect a variety of new, exciting menu items.
Including seven different coffee-serving methods like a draft latte; 12 new freshly baked on-site Dream Donuts with flavours like Maple Bacon and Crème Brûlée; new premium sandwiches such as a Tuscan Caprese and Italian Muffuletta; and brand new rotating soups, including Thai green curry chicken and Moroccan vegetable.
And the options don’t stop there. Unlike a regular Tim Hortons, the innovation café will offer seven different milk options, including non-dairy alternatives like soy, almond, and oat milk.
As expected, fancier options come with fancier prices.
While Tim Hortons doughnuts are typically 89 cents to $1.59, the doughnuts at Tim Hortons innovation café will cost $1.99 each. It’s just the price we have to pay for the Tim Hortons of the future!
If you’re interested in checking it out, visit the new Tim Hortons, located at 130 King St. West in Toronto, anytime after the grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 8 a.m.
