11 Of The Best Beauty Products That Launched In 2019

Another year has come and gone. 2019 has seen a lot of exciting things happen in the world of beauty. If you’ve been keeping up, there’s been no shortage of product and line launches in the world of skincare and makeup. Here are just a few beauty launches that caught my eye—and let’s be honest, these are just the tip of the iceberg!

Glossier Futuredew

Whenever the ‘skin first, makeup second’ brand reveals something new, everybody takes note. Glossier introduced Futuredew in October as a oil-in-serum formula, meant to be the last step in your skincare routine right before makeup. It’s basically glass skin in a bottle, perfect for that dewy, glowy complexion that we’ve all come to know and love.

Fenty Beauty Brow MVP Ultra Fine Pencil & Styler

In terms of beauty buzz, Fenty might have Glossier beat. Rihanna’s no stranger to changing the game (hello, did you see the Savage x Fenty show?) and Fenty Beauty’s brow pencil made a splash this year for all the right reasons. On one end is the super-fine-tipped retractable pencil (smudge- and waterproof) that we’ve all come to expect, and on the other, a small paddle-shaped brush, not a spoolie, to brush through the brows. The result, a smooth, even and fluffy brow. And we can’t forget about the shade inclusivity either—14 in all, including (wait for it) not one, not two, but four shades for redheads.

Glow Recipe Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask

Retinol had a major moment this year, by which I mean we heard a lot about it all over Instagram. But you can’t deny the benefits—increasing cell turnover, improving collagen production, repairing damage, and diminishing fine lines? The only part about this being too good to be true is that retinol isn’t so friendly to sensitive-skinned folks. That’s where the Glow Recipe Avocado Sleeping Mask come in. Formulated with the addition of skin-soothing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and chamomile, as well as revitalizing ingredients like matcha and ginger, this mask is a sure way to wake up to better skin.

This year saw an influx of celebrities releasing their own makeup lines (seriously, it was non-stop) but if anyone was going to pique my interest, it was Lady Gaga with the launch of Haus Laboratories. Mother Monster is known for her bold eyeliner and the Eye Armour Kit offers a surprising twist: wingtip stickers! Meant to be used along with the Liquid Eye-lie-ner, the kit is an easy way to cheating the perfect cat-eye look—like falsies for your eyeliner.
