Bold Collaboration Between Designer Alexander Wang and Trojan Condoms

Bold Collaboration Between Designer Alexander Wang and Trojan Condoms

Protect Your Wang! An unusual and bold collaboration between designer, Alexander Wang and condom maker, Trojan to honour Pride Month.

Did you ever wonder what the world’s most luxurious condom would look like? While Taiwanese-American fashion designer Alexander Wang has not reinvented the condom, he’s included a branded Trojan in his Protect Your Wang capsule, launching today. The collection, available in Wang’s Soho flagship store in New York City, with some items available online, also includes socks, hats, bandanas, and T-shirts. Each item is labelled with “Protect Your Wang.”

Wanting to do something special for Pride, Wang contacted Trojan last year, and they came up with a limited-edition capsule collection to promote safe sex. Part of the proceeds will go to the LGBT Center in New York towards sexual health education programs.

To 34-year-old Wang, who is from San Francisco, Pride is an event that’s been part of his whole life. “That celebration of optimism and bringing people together not only for what they have in common but how they are different. I love that message,” he said. Pride has always been one of his favourite moments of the year, and he wanted to create products that would engage his friends and fans to support initiatives he is passionate about.

The designer also designed a ‘Protect Your Wang float, which will be debut at the New York City Pride March on Sunday, June 24. “I can’t wait for everyone to see it on the streets of New York,” he said.
