Boutique Hotel Opening This Week In Downtown Toronto

This incredible boutique hotel is opening right in the heart of downtown Toronto. The 11-story brick building at Yonge and Charles opened originally in 1955.

It was known as the Anndore Hotel and Apartments, where guests could rent a room for the evening or live there semi-permanently for pretty cheap. Now, the revamped space will be officially opening the Anndore House April 12th.

“In a nod to its apartment past, the rooms, designed by Cecconi Simone, have been made to feel like industrial lofts. The main floor lobby, by Studio Munge, is a casual meeting place where guests can grab an espresso or get a quickie haircut from Crow’s Nest barbershop. There’s no real reception desk, and guests can check in (and order room service) just by using the hotel’s app,” reported Toronto Life.

Rooms start at $299 a night and suites start at $399. That neighbourhood is filled with super fancy hotels like The Four Seasons but also has chains like Howard Johnson. The Anndore house will be right in the middle.
