I Tried The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart Toothbrush — Here’s What I Thought

Everyone knows that September is the unofficial new year. And with the way 2020 has been going so far, I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s excited to see it arrive. A new year means a fresh start and new good habits.

One area I’m always looking to improve is my morning and bedtime routine. I’ve got my skincare on lock, so for the months ahead, I wanted to focus on improving my oral care game, which to be honest, I’ve never been super excited about. But with my dentist fully booked, I wanted to see what I could do to show my teeth some love at home.

Naturally, I gravitated towards upgrading my toothbrush.

I was a little nervous to make the switch from manual to rechargeable because my gums and teeth are pretty sensitive.

But while doing some research, I found the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart Toothbrush, which has different levels of intensity that I can adjust while I get used to the change.

It also uses smart sensor technology that connects to the Philips Sonicare app to help give you a personalized brushing experience.

All you have to do is download the app, connect your toothbrush, and get brushing. The Philips Sonicare app tracks progress and improves your own brushing technique through Bluetooth wireless technology. The smart sensor delivers smart location, scrubbing, and pressure sensors to customize the entire experience.

What I think is the coolest part about the toothbrush is the 3D mouth map.

It guides you to any missed spots or problem areas — that means you’re covering 100% of your mouth, something that you’d never even know with a manual toothbrush.

It comes with two brush heads, the Premium Plaque Control and Premium Gum Care Brush head. When needing replacement brush heads, you can pick them up on Philips.ca.

The DiamondClean Smart toothbrush gives you not one but four brushing modes to choose from, as well as three different intensity levels with each brush head. The brush heads are also created with RFID technology to automatically select the optimal mode and intensity for your own choppers. Choose your own option or the automated one, either way, get ready for that super clean feeling.

Long story short, I’ll be tossing my old toothbrush in the trash.

So far, I’m pretty into my new smart toothbrush. I hate going to the dentist because I’m always nervous about whether or not I brush my teeth well enough but now I’m actually excited to see if they’ll notice a difference. I’ve been giving my teeth that extra TLC with the Premium Plaque control brush head, which is supposed to remove 10x more plaque than a manual toothbrush. Being a total coffee addict, I’m excited to move to the whitening mode to help beat stains.

Plus, the toothbrush comes with this chic charging glass to place right on your counter and a deluxe compact travel case with an attached charging cord so that you can take it on the go. I chose black, but it comes in white, pink and rose gold, too. I’d highly recommend it!
