Well it’s about freaking time. Us Canadians have been hearing about the infamous Popeye’s Chicken Sandwich for some time now, and we’re super excited to announce that it’s finally making its way north of the border.
While no firm dates have been announced, Daily Hive reports that Popeye’s Chicken Sandwich will be available in Canada before the end of 2020.

The news was first reported by Richard Southern, a reporter for 680 News and a Popeye’s spokesperson told Narcity, “As previously reported we plan to bring the sandwich to Canada later this year, but have not yet announced specific dates.”
Wondering why this sandwich is making headlines? Well, it consists of a white-meat chicken breast that’s marinated in tasty Louisiana seasonings that’s hand-battered in a buttermilk dredge. After it’s been fried to perfection, it’s served on a toasted brioche bun complete with pickles and classic or spicy mayonnaise.
Popeye’s Chicken Sandwich was introduced in the U.S in August of last year and it was so popular that folks were lining up for hours just to get their hands on one and it eventually sold out.
Here’s hoping that there are enough chicken sandwiches to go around once it launches in Canada!
