Since opening its doors in July 2013, Likely General has become one of the most beloved storefronts in Roncesvalles Village. It's best known as a one-stop-shop for unique, handmade goods, and a message of ethical consumerism. They boast a wide selection of ceramics, books, zines, art prints, gift cards, clothing, lingerie, swim, jewelry, shoes, and bags.
Due to the store's ever-changing assortment of products, you are promised a fun and unexpected shopping experience!
The store was founded by a Toronto artist — and it shows! OCAD Photography graduate Brooke Manning set out to create a space for rising artists to showcase their work. Above all, she did just that. For instance, the store operates as a community hub for artists and creators to express themselves in a safe place.
Local and independent artists are Heavily Featured in the retail offerings of Likely General. In addition, exhibitions hosted in the gallery space feature A New Artist's Work every month.
To sum it up, everything carried here is carefully selected and showcased. As a result, all of the pins, patches, statement tees, soaps, ritual candles, totes, and tarot decks, fit the shop's aesthetic. That being said, be prepared to spend a good chunk of time checking out all of the goodies.
Expect to find a curated selection of skincare brands, like Province Apothecary, Wildcraft, and BKIND among the selection. Moreover, they stock jewellery & accessories from contemporary brands like Pocketo, Corey Moranis, and Eleventh House, to name a few!
