The Narwhal is a high-end women's clothing store, located on 1128 Yonge Street in Toronto. In the midst of the Summerhill neighbourhood, it is in the proximity of stunning Victorian homes, parks, quirky shops, and restaurants.
Owners Sydney Wills and Marisa Buchkowsky first opened The Narwhal Boutique in 2010 on Price Street in Toronto.
However, this location was not ideal as the entrance was hidden in an alleyway and made it difficult for customers to find. Fortunately, a few years later they moved to their current location.
Above all, the owners continue to source items that are on brand and compliment the style of the Yonge Street store. Undoubtedly, this shop caters to a woman with a strong sense of style and a love for contemporary fashion brands. Some of the items they carry include clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories, and jewelry, from top designers.
The notable brands sold here include Agolde, Ulla Johnson, Golden Goose, Loveshackfancy, Kathleen Whitaker, Yves Solomon, to name a few.
Most importantly, Wills and Buckhowsky source ethically made North American brands for their store. Along with more established brands, they try to connect their customers to up-and-coming labels.
Since this is a boutique store, quantities of each item are limited. That being said, if you see an item that you cannot live without, be sure to grab it before you miss your chance.
Finally, it is clear that Wills and Buchkowsky are thoughtful about curating the fashion pieces in the store. They do not carry many trend pieces that will only be in style for one season. Instead, the pieces here are designed to last, which makes the higher prices worth it.
This is one boutique shopping experience that you shouldn't pass up!
