National Donut Day is coming up on June 7th, and Tim Hortons is celebrating with a donut-theme sneaker collaboration with none other than adidas!
The collection itself doesn’t appear like any regular “merch”; the four sneakers are actually quite stylish, featuring the classic adidas Samba silhouette with donut-inspired colourways.
“Tim Hortons 60th anniversary represents an incredible milestone for an iconic Canadian brand, and this collaboration with the adidas Samba – a classic and iconic silhouette that’s so loved by Canadians – is a fun and special way to mark the occasion,” says Kelly Graham, VP Marketing, adidas Canada.
“We’re marking our 60th anniversary with a number of fun surprises for our loyal guests throughout the year, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with adidas for a celebration of some of the most iconic Tims donuts ever,” says Hope Bagozzi, Chief Marketing Officer at Tim Hortons.

When shopping for activewear, quality is everything. You need to be able to trust the clothes you exercise in to be able to move well, wick sweat, and support all the right places, or it could be kind of disastrous. Style also shouldn’t have to be compromised! After all, the saying is “Look good, feel good, do good,” isn’t it? That, and being able to extend your activewear wardrobe for day-to-day wear, is always a plus. There’s a handful of brands that just do activewear right, from affordable to high-end.
Rooted in Vancouver Canada, Lululemon is one of the most popular activewear brands out there, and for good reason. Through innovative fabrics and design, Lululemon provides athletes with apparel that optimizes performance and feel. The brand is widely known for its leggings and carries everything from apparel to shoes to yoga mats and everything in between.
Alo Yoga has been seen on everyone from Taylor Swift to Gigi Hadid, making the brand an ultra-trendy choice for activewear! Not only is its selection fashion-forward, but it’s also high-function, labelled in the luxury category. Its apparel is tailored to yoga, offering a wide selection of leggings, sports bras, sweaters, and more!
If you’re looking for cute gym-worthy workout sets, Gymshark has you covered. On pretty much every fitness influencer’s Instagram, you can probably spot some Gymshark pieces being worn. The brand is known for its flattering fits and accessible price points.
For eco-friendly activewear, check out Girlfriend Collective! Its clothes are made from recycled materials like water bottles, fishing nets, fabric scraps, and other waste. While shopping, you will find an array of workout staples that can be worn from the gym to the sidewalk. Its prices are also pretty great for what you’re getting!
Joe Fresh may not be the first brand that comes to mind when thinking of activewear, but let us put it on your radar! The brand you can shop from while at the grocery store has a variety of stylized activewear at an affordable price, perfect for getting your steps in around the city.
Old Navy has a great variety of activewear for every fitness occasion that may be on your agenda. From its PowerSoft pieces, which feature stretchy, peachy smooth fabrics with light compression, to its StretchTech options, featuring stretchy, moisture-wicking, versatile styles, Old Navy has it all.
TnAction at Artitzia is a line of high-performance activewear made from technical fabrics, crafted to support ‘every body’. In true Aritzia fashion, its activewear is extremely aesthetically pleasing, offering stylish silhouettes in neutral colour options – perfect for in and out of the gym.
You already know we’re big fans of Adidas… It’s a brand you can always trust to provide high-quality activewear in every category of sport and fitness. Whether you’re simply hitting the gym or you’re a soccer fanatic, Adidas will surely have what you need in terms of activewear!
If it’s good enough for the pros, it’s good enough for us! It’s no secret that Nike is a top-performing brand in the activewear category. From its trainers to its apparel, you can’t go wrong stocking up your activewear at Nike. Just do it.

Get ready Toronto, you’re about to get on a whole other level with adidas! The very first and Canada’s largest adidas halo concept store is here and you have to check it out. It’s located right on Level 1 in the CF Toronto Eaton Centre.
The new store format gives everyone a chance to browse all of adidas’ sub-brands under one roof, as well as showcase community activation spaces, exclusive product offerings, a personalization station, and more.
Not only are you able to shop all of your fave styles, but it’s a real treat to get to immerse yourself in the adidas world and truly understand the brand’s heritage and its close connection to the city of Toronto.
Alim Dhanji, President of adidas Canada, spoke about the opening, “The halo store opening is something we’ve been excited about for a long time, it really is a reflection of the partnerships and work we do on a more localized level. Having a storefront that allows us to celebrate and bring people together in one space is really special and we’re excited to continue our commitment to the GTA.”
On opening day weekend, there were a ton of awesome events happening for adiclub members. Members got to interact with the in-store vending machine that offered cool surprise gifts every time they used it. There were also Toronto DJs playing tunes throughout the store and a local coffee and juice bar to grab some refreshments.
Plus, to celebrate the Toronto concept store, adidas partnered up with five local artists to create limited-edition items. It featured a collection of graphic tees and tote bags representing the city’s individual neighbourhoods, which were given as gifts with a $100+ purchase to the adiclub members.
An ongoing activation at the halo store that adiclub members can take part in is personalizing their purchase at the Toronto lab (some exclusions apply). Along with this, there will be a ton of other exciting activations and immersive areas that will be a permanent aspect of the store.
The adidas concept store will also continue to host fun pop-up events throughout the year, so if you’re interested in attending, visit adidas CA for all of the info.
