After years of pulling all-nighters and highlighting textbooks like a madman, you’ve finally crossed the finished line and graduated from university/college. Instead of freaking out about what comes next in the “real world”, why not take advantage of this magical time to pack your bags and start tackling your travel bucket list? To help make your life easier (because we know the last thing you want to do right now is more research), we’ve put together a list of 7 cool destinations you should totally consider visiting post-graduation. Sleep not recommended.
If you’re looking for a post-grad trip that is affordable and not too far from T.O., why not head over to Montréal? The warm weather in the spring/summer makes it the perfect time for patio-hopping and taking in the European flavour of the city.
- Las Vegas
Vegas always has super affordable hotel and airfare deals, making it the perfect spot to visit if you just want to have a good time without blowing your whole summer budget. Also, the fact that you are finally of legal drinking age in the States (hopefully), should make it even more appealing.
- New Orleans
When you think of New Orleans, you may just think “Mardi Gras”, however, this southern city is actually a great place to visit all year round. The French Quarter is always buzzing with jazz clubs and unique live music, and Bourbon Street is renowned for its indoor and outdoor party atmosphere. Perfect for celebrating your newfound freedom!
- Tel Aviv
Forget New York, Tel Aviv is the new “city that never sleeps” with a clubbing scene that rivals any big U.S. or European city. At the same time, the city has a chill, relaxed vibe and there’s never a rush to get going anywhere.
Thailand is actually a great place to visit on a budget, and it’s super easy to travel from island to island (so instead of just one vacation, you’ll feel like you’ve had multiple). Between the relaxing atmosphere, stunning beaches, and delicious street food, you’ll never want to leave this place.
We know you’re done school, but if you’re craving just one more history lesson, a visit to Athens is a must. And if you’re craving more of a party scene, head on over to Mykonos, a Mediterranean paradise where the fun never ends.
With Instagram-worthy views as amazing as Iceland, how can you say no? Summer is the country’s prime time for hiking and pool-hopping between natural hot springs. Iceland also sees up to 21 hours of sunlight during the summer months, making it easier to stay up late and see/do more.
