A $6 Dry Shampoo Leaves My Post-Gym Hair Feeling Fresh & Clean

A $6 Dry Shampoo Leaves My Post-Gym Hair Feeling Fresh & Clean

Dry shampoo has been around for a while now and we all know how it works. A few sprays in your roots, rub in the powdery residue, and your blowout will last another day or two if you’re lucky. However for me on the other hand, those dry shampoo sprays never worked on me. Perhaps it’s my dark brown hair which made it nearly impossible to rub in the grey-ish residue, or maybe I was just dry shampoo-inept.

Regardless, I was SO glad when OGX’s dry shampoo foam (yes, foam), landed on my desk.

This dry shampoo is part of OGX’s Green Tea Fitness line that was made for using after a good sweat sesh at the gym. That’s exactly why this baby is formulated with ingredients like green tea and lotus that work to help extend your style, and soak up sweat and oils that are known to accumulate during a workout.

I’ll admit that I was skeptical because as I mentioned, I was under the impression that dry shampoo just wasn’t for me.

It turns out that I was simply using the wrong one and once I tried this OGX Dry Shampoo Foam, I was hooked because it made my scalp felt refreshed and almost clean, but it even added some necessary volume to my roots.

In case you’re wondering how it all works, you simply spray a dime-sized amount into your hands and apply to the roots. Then you just style as you normally would and enjoy not having to wash your hair for another day or at the gym— it’s a win-win.

The best part about this powerhouse product? It costs just $6.

Another thing I love about OGX Dry Shampoo Foam is that it didn’t make my hair feel even dirtier post-application as other dry shampoos tend to do. When I said it refreshed my scalp after a workout, I actually mean it. The products scent smells like a clean shampoo and the almost-cooling mousse-like texture is a close second to an actual hair wash.

So the next time you’re in a rush either at home or after a workout and don’t have the time to give your hair the wash it deserves, reach for the OGX Dry Shampoo Foam. You won’t be disappointed and since there’s basically no way to apply too much, get ready for glam second-day hair.

Here are all of the products I’m obsessed with in my haircare routine right now.
