Mabel’s was founded in 2008 by Lorraine Hawley and her husband Bob Warburton.
After living in Roncesvalles for several years, the couple noticed an opportunity for a high-end bakery and decided to open up shop in the neighbourhood. However, Mabel’s Bakery has now grown to a total of four locations, including St Clair Ave West and Dundas St West.
Not only do they offer a great line of baked goods, such as cookies, pies, and cakes, they also serve convenient pre-made meals. Some of their specialties include 3 cheese macaroni as well as spiced lentil loaves. Most importantly, every morning Mabel’s bakes a fresh batch of artisan bread. Of course, they use locally sourced unbleached organic flour, with no additives.
