As we all know, Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack are closing in Canada. While we have until June to say our last goodbyes to Nordstrom, all of Nordstrom Rack’s Canadian stores officially closed their doors on Sunday.
Nordstrom announced on March 2 that its Canadian stores would be shut down. Operations have been winding down ever since.
Canada was home to 6 Nordstrom stores and 7 Nordstrom Rack stores. Now that the Nordstrom Rack stores have closed, we’re left with just the remaining 6 Nordstrom locations left – and not for long.
On March 18 the liquidation sales began in anticipation of closing all doors by the end of June. The sale started small and gradually has been increasing as time goes on. This past weekend, little merchandise was left at Nordstrom Rack according to Retail Insider.
Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores were short-lived in Canada, having opened the first Canadian Nordstrom Rack location in Toronto in just 2018, and closing in 2023.
If you’ve yet to shop Nordstrom’s liquidation sale, you have just about a month to do so before its doors close in Canada forever, in June.
