If you’re into the outdoorsy scene, then get ready to shop at L.L. Bean’s first Canadian location at Oakville Place.
L.L. Bean had announced last fall that it had entered into an exclusive agreement with Canadian distributer The Jaytex Group for an expansion into Canada and they’ve made good on their promise.
The 14,205 square foot Oakville Place location was once occupied by Pusateri’s Fine Foods but they left the space in December and ever since we’ve been wondering who would take it over.
Even though spring is just around the corner, you might have to hold onto your shopping lists because this location is slated to open sometime next year.

Until then you can shop all your favourite L.L. Bean goods like their camping gear, backpacks, and all the flannel at various stores in Canada like Sporting Life, MEC and Hudson’s Bay. In addition to shopping in stores, the 106-year old retailer also just launched a website with prices in Canadian dollars
This new Canadian location joins the brands 28 stores across the U.S, plus they also have a call centre and distribution centre in Japan.
CEO Steve Smith says, “The upside potential is fantastic. It’s still a few percentage points, but a few percentage points in the retail industry is good…”
Fingers crossed this expansion north of the border works well because Jaytex has plans to open 20 more locations across the country!
